Local SEO for gyms: getting found by people nearby
Most people search for a gym close to home or work: "gym near me", "yoga studio" plus a city or neighbourhood. Local SEO is about making sure your club appears in those searches with the right information.

Start with your Google Business Profile
Claim and complete your profile: correct name, address, opening hours, phone number, website, categories and photos of the space and classes. Keep the hours up to date on public holidays. This is often the first thing people see in search and maps.
Make your website say where you are
Mention your city and neighbourhood naturally on the home page and contact page, with the full address in text, not only in an image or map. If you have more than one location, give each its own page with its own address, hours and schedule.
Describe what you offer in the words people use
Someone searches for "reformer pilates" or "strength training for beginners", not for your internal class names. Use those terms in headings and short descriptions of your classes.
Ask for reviews, and answer them
Ask members who are happy to leave a review, for example after their first month. Reply to reviews, including critical ones, briefly and politely. Never buy or write reviews yourself.
Keep the technical basics right
A fast, mobile-friendly website, a clear title and description for every page and a secure connection (https) are the basis. These are included in every OnlineFitness.club website.
Clubs on OnlineFitness.club are also listed in Find Fitness, our directory by city. Read what a website that converts needs once people find you.
